Perfect attendance gets Bpt. students star treatment

Is that a movie star pulling up to school, or students?

Some students who had perfect attendance at Bridgeport schools last year earned star treatment for their return. Out of 443 students with perfect attendance, 13 were chosen to take part in Bridgeport?s Back to School campaign. The students and their families met for an early breakfast at Old City Hall and then each student got a ride to school in a limo.

All those with perfect attendance will also get Sound Tigers hockey tickets. Those in high school will get a chance to win one of three laptop computers.

This was the first year of the campaign. Connecticut Limo provided the rides.

For an interview with the Bridgeport superintendent of schools and footage of the students in the limo, go to channel 612 on your iO digital cable box and select iO extra.
