Fairfield police Web site helps capture armed robber

Police say they've arrested an armed robber thanks to help from the public and News 12 Connecticut.

Troy Frazier, 44, is accused of robbing the Best Western Hotel on Kings Highway Cutoff in May. Police say Frazier was armed with a handgun during the robbery.

About a month ago, News 12 Connecticut aired a story on how the Fairfield Police Department was posting surveillance video online. Video of the Best Western robbery was included in the story, and police say a family member of the suspect saw the footage. Police say Frazier then saw the surveillance video on the site and turned himself in. ?For him to see himself online committing the act, it kind of goes a long way towards helping come in and admit his guilt,? says Fairfield Police Capt.
