Bikers ride 60 miles to honor fallen Milford soldier

More than 100 bikers hit the streets Sunday to remember one of their own who died in Iraq.

Bikers from all over southwestern Connecticut took part in "Jordan's Ride Home,? a 60-mile ride to honor Cpl. Jordan Pierson. Pierson, of Milford, was killed last year.

Friends of 21-year-old Pierson say he would have done anything for his fellow soldiers and had a passion for his Marine unit. They say Pierson also had a unique passion for riding motorcycles.

Pierson?s parents were on hand to see the start of the poker run held in their son's honor.

The poker run started at the Milford Elks Lodge and passed through the town of Naugatuck. The bikers made three stops during the ride and picked up a card at each. The biker with the best hand at the end of the run was the winner.

The money raised in the poker run will benefit the U.S. Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation.
