Hundreds of people lined Hollister Avenue in Bridgeport Wednesday to welcome Gloria Brown and her family to their new home courtesy of ABC?s ?Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.?
Last-minute jobs were underway to ensure the house was perfect in the hours before the revelation. Staffers and volunteers worked nearly around the clock in the last days and weeks of the project.
The Browns pulled up to their new home in a black stretch limousine. Gloria Brown dropped to her knees when she saw her new Victorian home, which was built with the help of Bridgeport residents.
The Browns were chosen because of their involvement with the community. In the past the family had suffered through a house flood and fire.
