A Bridgeport family made a final plea for financial help Friday as they mourned three relatives who drowned in Beardsley Park. Michelle McIntosh, 39, her 2-year-old son, 6-year-old nephew and a family friend died when their minivan rolled into a park pond. Hundreds of mourners gathered to remember the victims at Bronx Westchester Community Church in Mount Vernon, New York. The three will be buried Saturday at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings, New York. Family friends are hoping they can step up fundraising efforts to help cover the funeral costs. McIntosh family friend Peter Rivera has raised about $2,500 so far, but he says it?s not enough. Bridgeport Mayor John Fabrizi is stepping in to help ease the financial strain, asking local businesses to provide financial assistance.
