Bridgeport standoff ends in two arrests
A day-long standoff in Bridgeport Thursday ended with two people being arrested.
Police said the situation started when they received a call about shots fired in the middle of the day. Someone at the scene gave police the name and license plate number of the suspect. The plate number led police to an address at 192 Seaview Ave.
Police said when they arrived at the house , 25-year-old Carlos Garcia started shooting at the officers. They evacuated neighbors, closed off the street and had the house under surveillance .
Garcia faces charges including attempted murder and various weapons charges. Police say Garcia's girlfriend, 19-year-old Pamela Monge, faces charges of conspiracy to attempt murder.
