Norwalk teen nearly drowns in backyard pool

A 14-year-old Norwalk boy is lucky to be alive Tuesday after nearly drowning in a backyard pool.
Police say the teen and five of his friends were swimming in a pool at a home on First Street. They say only three of the teens knew how to swim, and the victim was not one of them. According to police, the boy jumped into the deep end and that's when his friends ran to get help.
"The fire department rescue unit got here and was able to resuscitate the drowning victim," said Norwalk police Sergeant Ron Pine.
Police say none of the teens lived at the home. A neighbor claims the kids didn't have permission to use the pool.
