Lost diamond ring remains ownerless in Orange
Police in Orange are having a hard time locating the rightful owner of a diamond ring found in a store parking lot.
According to police, a woman from Woodbridge found the ring in the Target parking lot along Route 1 and took it to the Orange Police Department a month ago. Orange Assistant Police Chief Ed Koether said the department has talked with neighboring departments and nearby stores, but has yet to find the owner.
?It?s a ladies engagement-type diamond ring,? Koether said. ?It?s somewhat of a unique ring.?
Police want to see photographs, paperwork showing original ownership and any other type of proof for the owner to claim the ring.
The department has received some calls about the ring, but so far no one has matched the description.
