Norwalk police probe possible connection to robberies

? Police are investigating a possible connection between robberies at two Norwalk businesses.
The most recent robbery occurred early Sunday morning at the Shorehaven Mobil station on East Avenue. Employees said three masked men beat an employee and stole money out of a Dunkin' Donuts counter. Workers also said they saw the robbers run out of the store toward nearby train tracks from a surveillance camera.
The injured employee was taken to the hospital.
Employees at the Mobil station said their incident mirrors a previous robbery that took place about a week ago. That robbery occurred at Rainbow News and Variety on Main Avenue in Norwalk. The clerk at that store was beaten by three masked men.
Anyone with information regarding the robberies is asked to call the Norwalk Police Department at 203-854-3000.
