Police made an arrest Thursday in an abduction attempt that occurred earlier in the week.
Police say they arrested Varum Yethirajam, 21, in connection to an incident that happened around 4:30 p.m. Monday near Washington Village. The alleged victim told police a man made inappropriate comments to her, then tried to lure her into his car. The girl immediately ran home.
Yethirajam is due in court June 4.
A similar incident occurred Wednesday morning, but police now believe the two events are unrelated. Police are still looking for help in that case, and urge anyone with information to call Norwalk police at 854-3011.
