Teen arrested for sexual assault at Stratford school

For the second time this week, a southwestern Connecticut youth has been charged with committing a sexual assault at an area high school.

The alleged incident took place Friday in Stratford, at the Center School on Sutton Avenue. Police say the accused 17-year-old male grabbed his 13-year-old victim in various areas, including the buttocks and breast, on the way inside the school. Police say further assaults took place in gym class.

A gym teacher witnessed one of the alleged assaults and reported it. Stratford police say they acted quickly and hope to send a message that sexual assault will not be tolerated. The alleged attacker?s name is not being released because of his age. He's charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

On Monday, a different student at a Bridgeport school was accused of raping a fellow student on school property.
