Bridgeport Little Leagues meet for tourney
All three of the Bridgeport Little Leagues participated in a tournament Sunday. This marks the first time a tournament has brought the three leagues together in 50 years.Teams comprised of players from each league will play each other. The winners of the first round will square off in a championship game.The tournament is a celebration of the 60th anniversary of Jackie Robinson?s debut as a Brooklyn Dodger. Robinson was the first African-American to play in the Major Leagues. His barrier-breaking entrance is considered a landmark moment in the history of American sports.
