Rose Marie Carlucci was killed in a car crash on the Merritt Parkway Sunday night. Carlucci, a teacher and athletic coach at West Hill High School, was driving back from a gymnastics meet when the accident occurred.
Carlucci was a gym and health teacher for more than 30 years. She also coached tennis, field hockey and gymnastics. Family members say Carlucci was a kind, caring and creative woman. They also say Carlucci was a source of strength because she battled breast cancer several years ago and beat it.
Carlucci?s funeral is scheduled for Saturday morning.
