Wilton woman scares burglar out of home

Police in Wilton are on the lookout for a burglar after a woman caught him red-handed, inside her home.

The robbery reportedly took place on Deer Run Road around 2 p.m. Wednesday. Police say the man was in the woman's kitchen when she came home with her two young children. According to police, the woman scared the man and he ran out the back door into the swamp area behind the home.

Police, the regional SWAT team and K-9 units spent hours scouring the area, but never found the suspect.

No one was hurt and the burglar did not get away with anything. Anyone with information is asked to call Wilton Police at 203-834-6260.
