Funeral held for Bridgeport native killed in Iraq

A funeral was held Thursday morning for a Bridgeport native killed last month while fighting in Iraq.
The ceremony for Pfc. Orlando E. Gonzalez was held at Larson Funeral Home in Bridgeport, and was open to the public. The funeral drew many relatives and others who wanted to show support for Gonzalez and his friends and family.
Gonzalez, who was 21 years old, was killed by a suicide bomber while he was handing out candy to children, according to state Attorney General Richard Blumenthal. Three other American servicemen were killed in the attack.
Gonzalez will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
