Wilton vandalism deemed hate crime by police
Police are calling swastikas and sexually suggestive messages painted on the garage of a Wilton home a hate crime.
Vandals struck the home of Jeanne Roberts between Saturday night and Sunday morning, police said. Investigators also found shaving cream at the scene.
Roberts said she has to wait for details from her insurance company before cleaning up her property. According to Roberts, she has received offers from neighbors who want to help. She said the cleanup will likely cost a lot of money.
Police said they are investigating the incident.
