Norwalk family grieves loss of pedestrian struck by alleged drunk driver
The family of a Norwalk man is grieving a tragic loss after he was killed while crossing the street early Friday morning. Police say 43-year-old Craig Bradley was the victim of a drunk driver. They say 43-year-old Clifton York, also of Norwalk, had taken the Metro-North train to the South Norwalk railroad station, got in his car and was driving northbound on Martin Luther King Drive when the accident occurred. They say York struck Bradley as he attempted to cross the road. Deborah Bradley remembers her brother-in-law as a hard worker, an avid walker, a really good cook and a very quiet guy. York was placed under arrest for DUI and was also charged with manslaughter with a motor vehicle. Police say if convicted, York could serve up to 10 years in prison.
