Southwestern CT blasted with winter's last hurrah

Folks in southwestern Connecticut woke up to find the winter storm left an icy situation in its wake Saturday.
Drivers are urged to be extremely careful on the roads as icy conditions still persist. Secondary streets are in worse condition than major roads. However, many of the roads are turning slushy as some melting has occurred. Road crews are working to keep the streets clear.
People are advised to stay indoors until substantial melting makes conditions better. No flooding has been reported along the shore line.
