Plows hit streets across southwestern CT

Plows hit the streets across southwestern Connecticut as snow from Friday's late-winter storm began to accumulate.

Snow turned to sleet by late in the day, bringing ice to roadways for the evening rush. After midnight, rain was expected to move in, winding down by late Saturday morning. Meanwhile, residents continue to hustle to buy up food and supplies for the storm. Shoppers hit Stew Leonard's in Norwalk to get prepared in case they couldn't get out later because of the storm.
