Bridgeport police have made an arrest in the stabbing death of a woman Tuesday night. According to police, the victim, a 40-year-old native of Brazil, was stabbed several times in her Beers Street home. They say the stabbing appears to be the result of a domestic dispute. After an all-night search, police arrested the woman?s husband, 39-year-old Jose Luiz Alves, around 8 a.m. Wednesday and charged him with murder. Neighbors say Alves and his wife had been married for 10 years, but separated about two months ago. Residents in the area are shocked and say the neighborhood is usually quiet. Meanwhile, police continue to investigate the incident.
