Dozens hope Greenwich Senior Center doesn't get lost in future plans
Dozens of senior citizens spoke out Tuesday over their concerns about the future of Greenwich Avenue.
First Selectman Jim Lash and other town officials spoke to the packed room of seniors about future plans for the town, including Greenwich Avenue. The seniors want to make sure the senior center doesn't take a back seat to glitzier plans. One plan on the table includes moving the Greenwich Board of Education (BOE) across the street into the senior center, and possibly bringing the seniors to the BOE's current location. However, Lash says all plans are preliminary and adds the newest plan won't be available for 12-18 months.
