Stratford's new top cop ready for a new challenge
There's a new top cop set to take the reigns in the town of Stratford and he says he's ready for the new challenge.
John Buturla has been named Stratford Police Department's new chief of police. Mayor James Miron made the announcement Thursday.
Buturla currently serves as the chief administrative officer in New Haven. He got his start as a beat cop in Trumbull and was also a major with state police. "I'm following the legacy of great chiefs, and I look forward to getting out there in the community and working with the community," said Buturla.The new leader will take over on March 31.
