Old Man Winter still has southwestern Connecticut in his grip and he's dropping temperatures beyond record levels Tuesday.

Wind gusts of up to 40 mph make temperatures of 20 degrees feel more like 10 degrees below zero. News 12 Connecticut's Paul Piorek says that the normal high for this time of year is about 44 degrees. Tuesday morning's temperature of 11 degrees broke the record low of 16 degrees, which was set back in 1978.

The all-time record low for the month of March is 4 degrees, set back on March 19, 1967.
