Crews work overtime to clean up after floods in southwestern CT
Residents throughout southwestern Connecticut are still drying out after Friday's downpours. From Old Greenwich to Stamford, water restoration companies worked until midnight Friday and will continue over the weekend. Several streets, including Maplewood Street in Bridgeport, had as much as one foot of water. Some homeowners say the rain came down so hard and fast the water had nowhere to go but inside their homes, particularly basements. Water clean-up experts say they're swamped and they?re working as fast as they can to dry out their customers. Managers from SERVPRO say they are booked solid through next week.
