Bearded collie gets hero's welcome in Stamford after Westminster wins

A bearded collie from Stamford received a hero's welcome after recently taking some top honors at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

Bailey, who goes by the show name Brigadoon It's All About You, won the Best in Breed prize. The 5-year-old canine also won third place in the herding group. Bailey's family was more than happy to shower him with love and affection after the dog spent a year away from home.

Owner Michele Piskin says Bailey left behind a puppy on the road to conquering the competition. Piskin and her daughter were worried the bearded collie wouldn't remember them, but they were soon relieved when they learned their fears were unfounded. Bailey is now retired.
