Norwalk parish sings praise of long-awaited organ
Norwalk's St. Paul's on the Green congregation enjoyed the sweet sounds of its newly rebuilt pipe organ for the first time Sunday.Parish members donated money to have the organ rebuilt. After seven months of repairs, the parish volunteered to unload each and every one of the 3,400 pipes out of a truck and into the church, which took an additional few months. Reverend Nicholas Lang says the congregation was excited and anxious to finally hear the organ. One parishioner said what made this project special was that the whole parish participated in the restoration of the organ, in a large or a small way. Rev. Lang agrees, saying the organ is a symbol of the growth and health of the parish.
