Outdoor workers out of luck as wicked temps hit southwestern CT
While the wicked temperatures are forcing most people to stay indoors Friday, those who work outdoors are out of luck.
With temperatures down in the single digits and the wind blowing, people who work outside are doing everything they can to stay warm. The Greenwich Police Department was forced to call in more officers for traffic duty on Greenwich Ave. The outdoor shift is on a 30-minute rotation. In addition, delivery drivers tell News 12 Connecticut they are keeping the vans running even during door-to-door drop-offs. Many are also drinking a lot of coffee or hot chocolate.
