Stamford shelter ready for spike in people as temps dip

As the temperatures continue to drop, homeless shelters across southwestern Connecticut are gearing up to take on more people Thursday night.
Officials at the Pacific House, a men's only shelter located in Stamford, are putting their no freeze policy into effect. That means they'll allow people to come into the house at any hour of the night due to the freezing temps.
Pacific House officials have also put out additional beds and have cots available if needed.
