Residents can take 'action' on future of New Canaan Playhouse

Residents get a chance Wednesday to tell town leaders what "action" they believe should be taken concerning the New Canaan Playhouse.The New Canaan Playhouse has been showing first-run movies for decades. In August, the lease on the playhouse expires. New Canaan First Selectman Judy Neville says the town has an obligation to purchase the movie theater, sell it or negotiate the lease contract with its current owners.

The Town Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall auditorium.
