New state-of-the-art facility opens its doors to eager students in Bridgeport

It's the first day of school all over again for hundreds of kindergarten and elementary school students in Bridgeport.

The new Cesar Batalla Elementary School opened its doors Monday to eager students. The $53.4 million, 146,000-square foot facility features the latest in technology.

Monday?s opening was just for the kindergarten through third-grade students. Tuesday, fourth through eighth-grade students begin their first day at Cesar Batalla.
