Stratford parishioners pray for church vandals
After being victims of vandalism, priests of two Stratford churches addressed their parishioners about forgiveness during Sunday morning Mass.The crèches at St. James Catholic Church and the Christ Episcopal Church were vandalized early Saturday morning. The small figures of the Nativity scene were smashed on the ground. One father brought some of the damaged figures in front of the congregation Sunday and says he wanted them to see the unchanged expression on Mary?s face.At the end of both Masses, the pastors asked parishioners to forgive and pray for the vandals.
