The post-Christmas shopping surge is on, and bargain hunters are taking advantage of the deep-discounted merchandise.
Many retailers at Westfield Connecticut Post Mall in Milford are offering huge savings. Some customers say the merchandise is hard to pass up when it's going for between 50 and 75 percent off.
Stores are offering the bargains to lure shoppers in after falling short on pre-Christmas sales. They're also encouraging people to use their gift cards to bring up the numbers.
