Bridgeport nurse won't let her patients feel lonely on Christmas
Christmas is a day that many people spend with their family and close friends, but others were still on the job for the holiday.Alice Bennett is a nurse on the oncology floor at Bridgeport Hospital. She's away from her family, but says it's her job to make sure others don't feel lonely. She says when she decided to become a nurse, she knew she was sacrificing part of her life to make other people's lives better. Bennett says she keeps a close watch on her patients and tries to make them feel closer to home and happy.Even though she was at the hospital on Christmas, Bennett says she will still get to celebrate the holiday with her family after work.
