Hustle and bustle drowns holiday cheer for southwestern CT drivers
With Christmas just days away, last minute shopping and the hustle and bustle of the season are bringing out the grinch in a lot of drivers.Police admit they respond to more accidents this time of year because of the heightened travel, traffic and impatient drivers. AAA and local police are warning drivers to use their blinkers, obey the speed limit and allow plenty of extra time.Retailers along the Black Rock turnpike even hired police officers to ease traffic tension. Some drivers say they are taking it all in stride. They say they pace themselves and keep in mind that this is the season to be merry.
