A search is underway for the man who forced his way into an elderly Milford woman?s home and sexually assaulted her.

Police say the suspect was armed with a knife when he barged into the 79-year-old?s Forest Road house Friday between 7 and 8 p.m. A police dog tracked the suspect?s scent to the parking lot of a nearby Howard Johnson hotel. Investigators say the crime appears to be random. Police used the City Watch system to inform residents via phone about the attack.

Investigators plan to interview the victim again. Anyone with information about the crime is urged to call police at 203-877-1465.
