Fairfield teacher returns from cross-country run for charity

A local teacher returns to Connecticut after running more than 3,000 miles cross county on a mission to raise money for cancer survivors.Christian McEvoy began his run in California in July. The 23-year old Fairfield native began the final leg of his run Friday in Connecticut after what he calls an intense five-month cancer-survivor marathon. McEvoy has raised more than $100,000 for charity. He says he was inspired to do the run because he believes each one of the 10 million American cancer survivors deserves wonderful care and attention.
