The Norwalk Fire Department says it is important to make sure the tree does not become dry. Checking the needles to make sure they don?t fall off is an easy way to ensure the tree is moist.They also advise residents to keep a tree for only about 10 days and to make sure to turn off all lights when leaving the house or going to bed.
