Annual holiday tradition in Fairfield bids farewell
An annual holiday tradition in Fairfield is coming to an end this year due to the poor health of a man known for his creche display.
Nellow Ceccarelli, 91, is known for putting up a creche scene at the Fairfield Town Green and staying at the display for up to 72 hours at a time. Unfortunately, this year he will not be greeting people in the community. He says he can no longer interact with the community the way he used to.
Ceccarelli says although he scrapped doing the creche scene this year, he is willing to do it next year if his health improves.
