Accused Norwalk gang leader to appear in Bridgeport court

An alleged local gang leader is expected to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court Monday to answer to drug charges.The gang and its reputed leader, 27-year-old Kelvin Burden, have been accused of using intimidation and weapons to distribute drugs. Burden is one of 25 people arrested or indicted since June of 2001 for the sale and distribution of cocaine in Norwalk. According to officials, criminal activity in the Bouton Street section of the city has dropped significantly since the arrests. Burden faces a life sentence.
