Baseball fans hope the 'Curse of the Bambino' will swing in their favor

It's Game 7 of the American League Championships series and diehard fans of both the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox are hoping the 83-year "Curse of the Bambino" will swing in their favor. Superstitious fans visited Babe Ruth's grave in Hawthorne, New York asking for his help. Yankees fans hope he'll keep the curse going, while Red Sox fans hope the 83-year curse of the Bambino will be broken. The curse came about in 1920 after the Boston Red Sox sold off Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees. The Yanks then went on to win 26 World Championships while the Sox haven't won any.But even if the Red Sox win Thursday night, it doesn't mean the curse is necessarily over. Most fans say it won't be broken until they win the World Series.
