Fairfield University students, faculty grieving over shooting death of student

Fairfield University students and faculty members are grieving Tuesday over the shooting death of a 19-year-old sophomore. Mark Fisher of Andover, New Jersey was shot to death in New York City over the weekend and detectives are now trying to figure out why.Fisher headed into New York City Saturday night, where police say he was hanging out with friends at Bar Harbour on the Upper East Side. Around 2 a.m. witnesses say he left with an unidentified female. The student was found shot to death nearly five hours later in Brooklyn with no wallet or identification. But an ATM receipt reportedly shows he withdrew $20 from a nearby ATM about one hour before he was found murdered.Detectives are trying to locate the unidentified woman for questioning.Fairfield University students are trying to make sense of this tragedy and school officials say counselors are on hand to help students cope with Fisher's violent death.Meanwhile, school officials plan to hold an on-campus memorial at Egan Chapel on Tuesday, October 21 at 6 p.m.
