Milford Marine receives a hero's welcome home

A U.S. Marine received a true hero's welcome in Milford Sunday afternoon after a long seven months in Kuwait and Iraq. Lance Corporal Justin Parker, 20, arrived in Kuwait on February 2, and crossed the border into Iraq on March 20.

Just after 11 a.m. the 20-year-old Platt Tech grad arrived on Brookdale Avenue in style, escorted by a motorcade of Vietnam vets.

The welcoming party spilled out to the street as Everyone's hearts were filled with pride and relief.

The Marine and his family plan to savor every moment together before Justin heads back to Camp Pennington, California on November 1.
