Southwestern CT residents brace for possible damage from Isabel
As Hurricane Isabel batters North Carolina and Virginia with several inches of rain and 105 mph winds, southwestern Connecticut residents are bracing for conditions that will be much less severe. According to the latest data in the News 12 Connecticut Hurricane Isabel Center the outer bans of the storm will bring rain and wind gusts to southwestern CT.
Throughout the area, residents are preparing for the storm. In Milford, shoreline homeowners are sandbagging their property and taking pictures off of their walls. In other municipalities, crews are on call in case wind knocks down trees or power lines.
