Bridgeport man arrested for robbery, kidnapping; others still on the loose

Shelton police have a man in custody and they're looking for others after a robbery and kidnapping. It started in Bridgeport at the Game Village Store on Barnum Avenue.

Police say 40-year-old Jerry Brown was leaving work at the Game Village when several men approached him with guns, forced him into the back seat of his car and demanded money.

Police say since Brown wasn't carrying any money, they drove to his house on Rocky Rest Road in Shelton. The suspects reportedly stole money and jewelry, tied up Brown and left.

Shelton and State police's major crime squad are investigating. They say they have collected evidence from Brown's driveway and fingerprinted his car.

Shelton police have 26-year-old Jermaine Little of Bridgeport in custody. He is charged with kidnapping, robbery and burglary and being held on 500,000 bond. Little will be arraigned Thursday in Derby Superior Court.

Shelton police have also recovered what they believe is a getaway car, a white mini-van in Ansonia. Police are still trying to locate four other suspects in the robbery.
