Voters across southwestern Connecticut head to the polls Tuesday for party primary races. The results will determine the major party candidates for theNovember ballot.One of the most-watched races is in Bridgeport, where six Democrats and two Republicans are running for the seat formerly held by Mayor Joseph Ganim. He resigned from office after being convicted of federal corruption charges and is set to begin serving a nine-year sentence for next Tuesday.John Fabrizi has been serving as mayor since Ganim's resignation. He's one of the Democratic candidates on the ballot Tuesday.
