Overcrowded classes are no longer a problem for Fairfield High School

To help solve the overcrowding problem at Fairfield High School, half of the freshman and sophomore classes, about 600 students, were moved to a new school Friday. The new school is located on Unquowa Road, the old Roger Ludlowe Middle School.Next year, construction on the parking lots and athletic fields should be complete and another grade will be added. For now the school is considered an expansion of Farifield High, but by next year the building will be renamed as a separate school. So far the Board of Education hasn't voted on a name for the new high school, however they're still collecting suggestions from students and residents.
