Wet summer put a damper on business in Norwalk

From the marina to side streets, storeowners in Norwalk say the wet summer has hurt business. Boats weren't able to go out in the rain and people stayed away from outdoor cafes and shops.

According to storeowners, the only businesses that had a profitable summer were restaurants. Overton's, a staple in Norwalk since 1948, attributes its profits to the fact that - rain or shine - everyone has to eat.
