Milford drinking water tested following allegations of contamination

Milford health officials began testing drinking water from 23 wells near the Milford Power Company's plant Wednesday, following allegations the water is contaminated.Some home and business owners located near the plant received letters this week informing them of the testing and potential health hazards. Only a limited number of wells were tested Wednesday. Milford's Health Director, Dr. Andrew McBride, refused to tell News 12 Connecticut the specific locations of those wells.
