Metro-North anticipates limited service for most of Friday

Commuters who use Metro-North trains are being told to expect major delays on Friday. Metro-North officials said it would take six to eight hours to restore service once their power returned.

Metro-North says that train service will not be available for the Friday morning rush hour, so commuters should arrange carpooling plans, or try to work from home.

Even if all power is restored the railroad said it expects to be able to provide only limited service well into Friday.
