Residents discuss Peqout Library expansion

A plan to expand Fairfield's Pequot Library is set to go before the public Thursday. The hearing, hosted by the Fairfield Historic District Commission, will highlight details of the library's proposed $4 million renovation project.Reports say the project is already the subject of a lawsuit filed by a nearby resident. The resident is concerned the renovation will lead to flooding in his neighborhood. The renovations will add more than 6,500 square feet to the building at Pequot Avenue and Westway Road. The additions would also include a new children's wing and expanded parking. The meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Old Town Hall.
